Hadden Scholarships

Established in 1968, the Maude and Alexander Hadden Scholarship is awarded to exceptionally worthy high school seniors with demonstrated financial need, for up to four years of college undergraduate study. Hadden Scholars must be U.S. citizens matriculating at a four-year accredited college or university established in the United States. In awarding Hadden Scholarships, Youth Foundation considers scholastic achievement, character, leadership, volunteerism, and financial need*. There is a minimum unweighted grade point average requirement, 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, to apply for a Hadden Scholarship.

Honors GradU LAUNCH Cycle
All high school seniors that are planning on attending an accredited college, university, or trade school in the U.S. are eligible. There are no citizenship requirements. Design and work on a community improvement project. OPTIONAL: You can fill out a strategy plan/feedback form for additional guidance and suggestions. Your community building project can be based off of an existing project you’re doing for school or extracurriculars, however; it must be a current working project, not something accomplished in the past and hasn’t been worked on over a long period of time. You can work with an existing community organization. You can work by yourself or in groups of 3.

National Association of Black Automobile Supplier Scholarship
Our organization seeks to provide scholarships to graduating African-American Seniors in high school who have outstanding academic and community leadership skills. You must possess a cumulative 3.0 GPA or better on a 4.0 scale throughout your high school career. A potential candidate must plan to be enrolled in college to pursue a full-time curriculum in engineering, finance, technology, business or a related curriculum. Write an essay describing one of the following:

  • Describe a current event and how it has impacted your life?

  • Describe what obstacles have you overcome, what did you learn from it and what life changes have you made because of it?

  • Write about an African American Entrepreneur and tell us why you choose that Entrepreneur?

CBC Spouses Education Scholarship
The CBC Spouses Education Scholarship awards current high school seniors who will be full-time scholars pursuing a degree in a variety of fields. You must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident. A minimum 2.5 GPA is required. Applicants should exhibit leadership and be active in the community. Selected applicants must identify as Black or African American.

Automotive Aftermarket Scholarship

Eligible applicants are graduating high school seniors planning to be full time students at an accredited U.S. college or university or an ASE/NATEF certified post-secondary automotive, heavy duty, or collision repair school. There is no GPA requirement. You are required to submit a one-page essay (200 words) about your career goals and you can also post an optional short video on YouTube and include the link to it on your scholarship application. You will be asked for at least one letter of reference. Some of the organizations that work with UAF require a reference from one of their members or your automotive instructor.

Becca’s Closet Spirit of Community (Generosity)
We’re looking for high school seniors who have made a huge impact through long term service to others and who have the desire to continue making a difference throughout their lives! One-year, required senior projects are NOT eligible. The purpose of this need-based scholarship is to encourage students who have demonstrated outstanding community service during high school to continue their efforts throughout their lives and to inspire others to do the same. A minimum 2.0 GPA is required. You must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident. You must be attending a regionally-accredited 2 or 4-year college/university or technical/vocational institution in fall after senior year. You need to have made an outstanding, documented contribution to his or her local community through service to his/her local community through volunteer service of any kind.

John Madsen Fellowship
The Outdoor Writers Association of America (OWAA) established the John Madson Fellowship as part of its commitment to improve the professional skills of outdoor communicators. The grant program is open to OWAA members as well as non-members. This award goes to selected individuals seeking to enhance their abilities as writers, photographers, videographers, broadcasters, etc. The money can be used to attend OWAA's annual conference, college courses or professional seminars and can be applied to tuition, registration, room and board costs, as well as qualifying travel expenses. Applicants must include an explanation of their need and proposal for continuing education, an itemized budget of miscellaneous expenses, and include a sample of their work (published article or photos, tape of broadcast program, etc.).

Navy Wives Clubs of America Scholarship
To be eligible for a scholarship, an applicant must be the child, grandchild, or great-grandchild, of an enlisted (E1-E9) member of the Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard, active duty, or retired. The applicant must show a basis of need for financial assistance, have a scholastic standing of at least 2.5 grade point average (GPA). The applicant must be accepted for admission to an accredited school. Further information on the qualifications for each scholarship and the application can be found on the NWCA website.

Tzu Chi USA Scholarship
The applicant must be a high school senior with a 3.0 GPA that will enroll in an accredited U.S. college full-time for the academic year 2025-2026. They must demonstrate financial need for college tuition and related expenses. An autobiography (2 to 5 pages) must explain why you should be awarded a scholarship. Please include all of the following:

  • Reason for your financial need and how you intend to use this educational scholarship

  • Your personal and academic achievements with specific examples

  • Your academic and career plans with specific goals

  • Your past and current involvement, as well as future plans, towards making a difference in your community

Additionally, you must write a two-page essay about Tzu Chi, based on the information you’ve gathered from websites, publications, news articles, etc. Please explain what you’ve learned about Tzu Chi that inspires you and why. Express your thoughts openly and honestly. Additional Supporting Documents include an official high school transcript and two letters of recommendation from teachers, counselors, and/or other advisors.

Avionics Technician & Aircraft Maintenance Technician Scholarship

This scholarship is available to all graduating seniors who plan to pursue an aviation technician certification. CJ Pony Parts 
Any U.S. resident who will be enrolling in post-secondary education in the next semester is eligible for this scholarship. This is open to all fields of study and is not exclusive to automotive or related degrees. Create a short video (under 3 minutes long, will be disqualified if over) on one of these topics:

  • What is one memory you have of a Mustang that left an impression?

  • How do Mustangs relate to your current or intended field of study (Get creative!)

  • If you could redesign one Mustang generation, what would you change and why?

  • Mustangs have made a lot of progress over the years. What is one automotive advancement you’re looking forward to and why?

  • Lea Iacocca, Gale Halderman, and many others contributed to the birth of the Mustang, creating a lasting legacy. What do you hope your legacy will be?

You can be inspirational, funny, serious, educational, or even musical! Winners will be selected based on creativity and content rather than video editing skill or how many views the video gets. Submitted videos must be your own work.

The Welcoming Project
Applicants must be enrolled in degree-granting institutions in August of 2025 and provide an outstanding contribution to innovative LGBTQ activism. You will need to upload your essay and two letters of recommendation when you submit. In 3-5 double-spaced pages, please describe your current involvement with LGBTQ activism and explain why you got involved in LGBTQ activism. In addition, please describe your projected plans for LGBTQ activism in the future and how you plan to achieve those future goals. Finally, explain how you will plan to use the scholarship award money if you are the selected award recipient.

Boomer Esiason Foundation’s General Academic Scholarships
The BEF Scholarship Program committee considers the applicant’s scholastic ability, character, leadership potential, service to the community and need for financial assistance. Once candidates have been selected as semi-finalists, they will be granted a phone interview with a committee member. Colonel Aaron Burgstein Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship was established for minor dependents of Active Duty, retired, or prior service members of all branches, reservists, or National Guard members who are/will be pursuing a two or four-year degree at an accredited college/university (must be a high school senior). Priority will be given to those dependents whose parent/guardian either: served for eight or more years; died while serving on or in an active duty status, or; has been classified as a wounded warrior through the Air Force Wounded Warrior program. Michael Moody Fitness Scholarship
The Michael Moody Fitness Scholarship is a college scholarship of $1,500 awarded to a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who has demonstrated outstanding achievement, participation, and leadership in school activities and work experience and interest in pursuing a career in the health and fitness-related fields. Applicants must plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States for the entire 2025-2026 academic year. The student may apply and use the money for education-related expenses, including tuition, fees, books, supplies, and room and board.
